Terms of Sale
These Terms of Sale apply to products purchased from Craftinson through craftinson.co.uk.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
About Craftinson
Craftinson is a small independent business operated by James Wilkinson as a sole trader, based in Oxford, United Kingdom.

Products
Craftinson produces small-batch, individually made and commissioned products.
Reasonable efforts are made to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, dimensions, materials and other information on our website are accurate.
Many of the products use natural materials such as timber. Grain, colour, texture and other natural characteristics will vary from piece to piece.
Because products are individually made and finished, small variations may also occur between products. These variations are part of the nature of handmade products and are not considered faults where the product remains consistent with its description.
Placing an Order
Products, prices and availability are shown on the Craftinson website.
When you submit an order, you are offering to purchase the product subject to these Terms of Sale.
A contract between you and Craftinson is formed when the order is accepted and confirmation has been sent to you.
If Craftinson is unable to accept your order, for example because a product is unavailable, you will be contacted and any payment already taken will be refunded.
Craftinson reserves the right to correct genuine pricing or description errors. If an error affects an order you have already placed, you will be contacted before the sale proceeds.
Prices & Payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (£).
Any delivery charge will be shown before you complete your order.
The total amount payable will be shown before you place the order.
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available during checkout.
Delivery
Delivery options, charges and estimated timescales will be shown on the product page, during checkout or otherwise agreed with you before your order is accepted.
Unless a different delivery date has been agreed, goods will be delivered within 30 days of the order being accepted.
For further information, please see the Delivery & Returns policy.
Handmade & Natural Materials
Wood is a natural material and can change slightly over time or in response to differences in temperature and humidity.
Natural characteristics may include differences in grain, colour, knots and texture.
Small variations resulting from natural materials or the handmade manufacturing process are not faults in themselves.
Products should be used and cared for appropriately. Any specific care instructions supplied with a product should be followed.
Personalised & Bespoke Orders
Some Craftinson products may be made to an individual customer's specifications.
This might include personalised engraving, wording, artwork, dimensions, non-standard finishes or other features specifically agreed with you.
For bespoke orders, Craftinson may ask you to approve important details before manufacture begins.
Please check dimensions, wording, artwork and other personalised details carefully before approving them.
Where a product is genuinely made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised, the normal 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right may not apply.
A product is not automatically considered bespoke simply because it is manufactured after you place an order.
Your rights remain unaffected if a personalised or bespoke product is faulty, damaged, not as described or does not match the specification Craftinson agreed with you.
Cancellations & Returns
Your cancellation and return rights depend on the type of product purchased.
Standard products purchased online will generally benefit from the statutory cancellation rights described in the Delivery & Returns policy.
Different rules may apply to products that are genuinely personalised or made to your individual specifications.
Please see the Delivery & Returns policy for full details.
Faulty or Incorrect Products
Craftinson is under a legal duty to supply goods that are as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their intended purpose.
If you believe a product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described, please use the Contact page.
Depending on the circumstances and your statutory rights, an appropriate remedy may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or refund.
Nothing in these Terms of Sale limits your legal rights concerning faulty goods.
Product Safety & Intended Use
Products should only be used for their intended purpose.
Furniture should be placed on an appropriate, stable surface and used in a reasonable manner.
Please follow any safety, assembly, maintenance or care instructions supplied with the product.
Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Craftinson name, original website content, photographs, drawings, graphics and other original materials created by Craftinson remain the intellectual property of Craftinson.
Purchasing a physical product does not transfer ownership of any underlying artwork, design files, drawings or other intellectual property.
This does not affect any rights belonging to third parties.
Events Outside Our Control
Craftinson will not be responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside Craftinson's reasonable control.
If this happens, you will be contacted as soon as reasonably possible and reasonable steps taken to minimise the effect of the delay.
Your statutory rights are unaffected.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or liability that cannot otherwise legally be excluded.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights relating to faulty goods or goods that are not as described.
Changes to These Terms
Updates to Terms of Sale may occasionally occur.
The terms applying to your purchase will be the version in force when your order is placed.
The latest version will always be available on this website.
